Michael is an experienced and
self-motivated investment professional with extensive knowledge of equity
capital markets, including sales, trading and research. He is successful as a
relationship builder and manager serving a broad array of institutional
clients, including hedge funds, mutual funds, banks and private equity firms.
Michael has experience with both smaller boutique and blue chip firms, such as
Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank and DLJ/CS First Boston.
As Managing Director of Dominick and Dominick, Michael was hired to restart an institutional sales and trading effort to dovetail with a small capital investment banking team for this privately held, 140 year-old investment bank. He was instrumental in executing on IPO’s, secondary offerings and private placements.
Prior to joining Dominick and Dominick, Michael was a Managing Director at Soleil Securities / Ticonderoga Securites where he built revenues from zero to multi- millions after three years. He worked closely with venture partners in business development and firm management.
As a Director at Deutsche Bank, Michael co-founded the NASDAQ trading desk to support the DMG Technology Group within the Bank. He handled all aspects of sales trading and compliance for the desk.
Michael hired, trained and mentored a group of eight sales traders and six traders in New York and Boston and worked closely with investment bankers and analysts pitching capital market mandates to firms such as Amazon.com, Wind River Systems and Applied Materials. He acted as liaison with the Head of Deutsche Bank, North America, to report on day-to-day operations. Mike holds a B.A. from Boston College.
